Titans stun NFL with blockbuster trade: Eagles acquire star receiver A.J. Brown

Howie Roseman's latest masterstroke shakes up Draft

Titans make shock decision to part ways with star wideout

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has pulled off another blockbuster trade, acquiring star wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for the 18th and 101st picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.

The move, reported by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, comes as a major surprise, with many expecting Brown to remain with the Titans for the foreseeable future.

Brown, 24, has established himself as one of the NFL's most prolific pass-catchers since entering the league in 2019. In three seasons with Tennessee, he has recorded 185 receptions for 2,995 yards and 24 touchdowns, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors in 2020.

The Eagles have been in need of a wide receiver of Brown's caliber, and his addition gives quarterback Jalen Hurts a much-needed weapon in the passing game. Philadelphia's offense has struggled in recent years, ranking 26th in the NFL in points scored in 2021.

For the Titans, the trade signals a changing of the guard as they move on from one of their most productive players. Brown's departure leaves a significant void in Tennessee's offense, but the team will receive two valuable draft picks in return.

The trade is a major win for Roseman, who has a history of making aggressive moves to improve the Eagles' roster. It remains to be seen how Brown will fit in Philadelphia's offense, but his arrival is sure to make the Eagles a more dangerous team in 2022.
