UEFA and DFB announce joint venture
Cooperation to enhance football development in Germany
Frankfurt, Germany - July 1, 2023
The German Football Association (DFB) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) have today announced the formation of a joint venture to enhance the development of football in Germany.
The joint venture, which will be based in Frankfurt, will focus on a range of areas, including:
- Player development
- Coach education
- Infrastructure development
- Marketing and promotion
The DFB and UEFA believe that the joint venture will provide a significant boost to the development of football in Germany, and will help to ensure that the country remains a major force in the sport at both the domestic and international level.
DFB President Bernd Neuendorf said: "This joint venture is a major step forward for German football. By working together with UEFA, we will be able to pool our resources and expertise to create a world-class football development system in Germany."
UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin said: "We are delighted to be partnering with the DFB on this joint venture. Germany has a rich history in football, and we believe that this joint venture will help to build on that legacy and create a bright future for the sport in the country."
