Veronika Kudermetova, Sachia Vickery, Camila Osorio Advance To Second Round of US Open Qualifying Tournament

Qualifier Sachia Vickery upsets No. 11 seed

Veronika Kudermetova, Sachia Vickery, and Camila Osorio have advanced to the second round of the US Open qualifying tournament. Kudermetova, the No. 10 seed, defeated Akari Inoue of Japan 6-1, 6-4. Vickery, a qualifier, upset No. 11 seed Anna Kalinskaya of Russia 6-4, 6-4. Osorio, the No. 16 seed, defeated Robin Anderson of the United States 6-3, 6-2.

Kudermetova, Vickery, and Osorio join a growing list of players who have advanced to the second round of the US Open qualifying tournament.

The second round of the US Open qualifying tournament will be played on Tuesday, August 23.

The winners of the second round will advance to the main draw of the US Open, which begins on Monday, August 29.
